MOCHA (MObile Cloud-based Hybrid Architecture)
Cloud computing has brought the state of the art in mobile computing to an inflection point in which mobile applications that access Big Data,
which were unimaginable a decade ago, may now be feasible, potentially offering vast productivity improvements, a better quality of life and significant technological advances.
MOCHA (MObile Cloud-based Hybrid Architecture) is a network system that addresses the technological challenges in running mobile-computing
applications that utilize Big Data in a distributed environment, encompassing hardware, software, and a computational framework to support these applications.
There are many real-time applications that can benefit from MOCHA, namely, battlefield support applications, natural language processing, airport security,
an enhanced Amber Alert system, among others.
